Our doctor Dr. Shareen M. Greenbaum

Shareen M. Greenbaum, M.D. is a native of Southeast Michigan. Dr. Greenbaum attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree with High Distinction, with a major in Spanish language. She continued her education at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. Doctor Greenbaum then completed her residency training in Ophthalmology at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan, where she served as Chief Resident.

Dr. Greenbaum practices general ophthalmology with a focus on intraocular lens implant surgery, ophthalmic plastics and refractive surgery. She has been involved in multiple research projects and has been published in the peer-reviewed Retina Eye Journal for her research on Photodynamic Therapy for Age-Related Macular Degeneration.

Dr. Greenbaum is one of the first surgeons in Broward certified in laser cataract surgery technology. Dr. Greenbaum is able to customize each cataract surgery for individual patients creating the best vision outcome. Hollywood Eye Institute is also a dry eye center and offers alternative treatments such as autologous tears.

Dr. Greenbaum has been practicing ophthalmology in South Florida since relocating to Broward county in 2007. When she is not seeing patients, she enjoys spending time with her husband and four children.

 


 

Dr. Ravin Sajnani

Dr. Ravin Sajnani is an Ophthalmologist originally from Tampa, FL. He attended the University of Miami for his undergraduate education and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Biomedical Engineering. He then stayed on at University of Miami for medical school where he graduated with research distinction. After medical school, Dr. Sajnani packed his bags for the long haul and traveled westward to Westwood, California. He completed his Ophthalmology residency training at the UCLA Jules Stein Eye Institute. He now happily claims to know two Hollywoods! 
 
Dr. Sajnani is a comprehensive Ophthalmologist, managing ocular diseases such as Cataract, Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration, and diabetic eye disease. He has been published in various Ophthalmological journals for his research and has received teaching awards for his instruction of medical students and junior residents. 
 
In his spare time, Dr. Sajnani enjoys hiking, board games, road trips, and learning new languages. He is conversant in Spanish and, to a lesser extent, Hindi and Sindhi. If you enjoy sharing your language, he will enjoy learning from you!
 
 

 

Dr. Neel Lamba, MD, MBA

Dr. Neel Lamba, is a skilled ophthalmologist specializing in ocular inflammation and vitreoretinal disease. He completed his general surgery internship at Rush University Medical Center and his ophthalmology residency at the John H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County. After his residency, Dr. Lamba completed a year-long uveitis fellowship at the Massachusetts Eye Research and Surgery Institution.

Following fellowship training in ocular inflammation and uveitis, he completed a 2-year fellowship in vitreoretinal disease and surgery at the Foundation for Retinal Research in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Dr. Lamba has published in top ophthalmology peer-reviewed journals, including Clinical Ophthalmology, Survey of Ophthalmology, and Retina.

 


 

Dr. Jackie L Schwartz

Dr. Jackie L Schwartz is a Board-Certified Optometrist practicing general optometry and medical optometry in South Florida for 30 years.  She grew up in Long Island and attended the University of Florida, home of the Florida Gators.  She received her optometric degree from Southern College of Optometry where she did advanced contact lens training at the prestigious Park Avenue Practice of Farkas, Farkas, and Kasslow in New York City.

As a participant in the Broward County Optometric Community, she served on the Board of the Broward County Optometric Association, and as an adjunct professor at Nova Southeastern College of Optometry, educating fourth year students in their clinical studies.  She has been the optometric physician for numerous national studies for Diabetes, Macular Degeneration, and Alzheimer’s disease, and involved in clinical trials for new contact lenses and intraocular lenses. 

Dr. Schwartz is skilled in fitting general and the most advanced specialty contact lenses, including toric lenses for astigmatism, multifocal contacts for seeing both near, and far, and rigid gas permeable contact lenses for corneal irregularities such as keratoconus.  She is also knowledgeable in the most advanced eyeglass lens technology.  As a Certified Optometrist, Dr. Schwartz treats many eye illnesses and diseases such as dry eyes, conjunctivitis (pink eye), corneal abrasions and infections, as well as co-managing glaucoma, macular degeneration, and laser vision correction.

Marisa Eldon, ABOC, NCLEC

Marisa Eldon brings more than 25 years of clinical experience as a Nationally Certified Optician. She is a vision expert and specializes in offering the newest and best lens options with her extensive knowledge of optical lenses. She has meticulous precision in the laboratory, as she is a Master Lab Technician, and she has made and dispensed over 100,000 eyeglasses to her patients. Her annual continuing education keeps her current with the latest technology in prescription lenses. Additionally, her constant research on the current fashion trends make it possible for her to offer the most up-to-date eye wear, along with her good fashion sense. 

Marisa’s years of experience interpreting and designing eye wear and her enthusiasm for helping patients look, feel and see their best makes her a leader in her field. She prides herself on listening attentively to her patient’s needs, including their eye wear preferences, lifestyle and budget prior recommending eyeglass frames. Marisa is passionate about providing the best care for her patients and strives to meet all of their optical needs. She is committed to developing long-lasting authentic relationships with her patients, as she genuinely cares about each and every patient. 

Marisa has resided in South Florida for over 30 years. She is strongly dedicated to her charitable work through missionary and volunteer efforts. In her spare time, she enjoys time with her family and friends, gardening, fitness activities, and traveling.
